Understanding Your Withdrawal Balance
1. What is a withdrawal balance?
A withdrawal balance represents the amount of money available in your account that you can withdraw at any time. It is the portion of your total balance that is not tied up in pending transactions or limited by account policies.
Equity = Balance ± PnL (Profit or Loss)
2. Why is my withdrawal balance different from my total balance?
Your withdrawal balance may differ from your total balance due to:
- Pending Orders: These are trades or transactions that have been placed but not yet executed or settled on the market.
3. What are pending transactions?
Pending transactions include any orders or trades you have placed on the trading platform that have not yet been completed. These amounts are temporarily deducted from your available balance but may not yet reflect in your withdrawal balance until fully processed.
4. Can you provide an example of how withdrawal balance works in trading?
Example: Let’s say you have a total account balance of $10,000. You decide to place a trade to buy shares worth $4,000, but the trade is still pending because the market hasn’t opened yet or the order hasn’t been filled. Here’s how your withdrawal balance is calculated:
- Total Account Balance: $10,000
- Pending Order (Trade Shares): $4,000
Withdrawal Balance: $10,000 - $4,000 = $6,000
In this scenario, even though your total balance is $10,000, only $6,000 is available for withdrawal because $4,000 is allocated to the pending trade. Once the trade is executed or canceled, your withdrawal balance will be updated accordingly.
5. Can I withdraw my entire balance?
You can only withdraw up to your available withdrawal balance. The total balance may include funds that are pending or otherwise limited by account policies. Additionally, due to Return to Source (RTS), you must first withdraw up to the amount you deposited using the same method before any other withdrawal options become available.
6. What should I do if I believe there is an error with my withdrawal balance?
If you suspect an error, please contact our customer support team immediately. They can review your account activity and resolve any discrepancies.
